Rustler herbicide (500g/L Propyzamide) is now registered for use in Canola.  The application rate is 1.0L/ha incorporated by sowing (IBS).

Prior to using Rustler, it is important to be aware of the compatibility issues that could arise when tank mixing for an IBS application.

The following table summarises the compatibility of Rustler with common pre-emergent and knockdown products for canola.

Where emerged weeds are present, Rustler is best tank mixed with Ken-Up Dry or a similar product.

If Paraquat is required to manage Glyphosate resistance, Rustler and Paraquat will need to be applied as separate applications.

Rustler requires good soil moisture for effective weed control. Rustler’s efficiency improves when soil temperatures fall below 10 degrees Celsius.  To reduce the risk of crop damage, canola seed should be sown below the applied band of herbicide.
