Fenceline Weed Control

Adama (previously Farmoz), have released Uragan (800g/kg Bromacil), a pre-emergent soil residual herbicide that can be used for extended control of both grass and broadleaf weeds along fencelines and other non-crop areas. Uragan is compatible with Glyphosate and Paraquat.

Uragan is best applied from July to August and can provide up to 12 months control of a wide range of grass and broadleaf weeds. Best results are achieved when Uragan is applied to bare earth. Application over heavy organic matter loads will reduce efficacy and residual control.

Uragan is applied at 3.5 to 6.5 kg/ha. Higher application rates provide increased length of residual control. The Uragan label stipulates that a buffer of 50m be kept between spraying and the nearest tree.

In comparison to other soil applied products such as Atragranz, Simagranz or Diuron, Uragan is significantly more expensive, so it is most likely to have a fit for only small patches of herbicide resistant weeds.
