A seminar in Temora organised by RMS to discuss Management of Herbicide Resistant Weeds was well attended by about 65 clients. The main speaker Dr Peter Boutsalis discussed; mechanisms of herbicide resistance, its development, frequency, distribution and management, as well as the process of testing for herbicide resistance and the interpretation of test results.

Other speakers included Tony Cook, Professor Stephen Powles, and Peter Lott, discussing the practical aspects of managing weeds with both chemical and non-chemical means.

Presentations and discussion on the day led to some valuable outcomes and already many clients who attended have made changes which have led to improved weed control.

A summary of the key outcomes from this seminar can be found here on our website at Herbicide Resistance in Australia and Weed Management in Australia.
