In recent years, technology has made accessing grain prices relatively quick and easy. Two tools in particular are the Profarmer Price Discovery Site and the GrainCorp Site Pricing App.

Accessing the Profarmer Price Discovery site costs $199 for a 12 month subscription. The website provides live prices from most major grain buyers at most sites. This site, lists prices by grade and buyer, which are updated regularly throughout the day.

The value in this site is that it can quickly provide a price guide and the bidder of the highest price. The site has resulted in significant time savings for those marketing grain during and after harvest.

Similarly, GrainCorp have an App that can be used to source and compare prices at GrainCorp sites. This App provides cash prices, GrainCorp contract prices, GrainCorp Pool ESR’s and site contact details. Growers can also log in with their Grain Transact details to view a basic delivery summary.
